Jabal al-Noor

Also known as the “Mountain of Light,” Jabal al-Nour is the location of the Cave of Hira that holds huge significance for every brother and sister in general and the pilgrims visiting Makkah for the purpose of Umrah or Hajj in particular.

Located in the Hejazi region near the holy city of Makkah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the cave is where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) spent his time in prayers and where he received the first revelation through the Hazrat Jibra’il (A S). This is also the reason why the mountain was named Jabal al-Nour to commemorate this significance in Islam.

Jabal-al-Nour is also different from other mountains because if its unusual summit that looks as if two mountains are on top of each other. The summit is also considered one of the loneliest places on earth in the middle of the desert.
