Cave of Jabal Thawr

Thawr Cave is located in the mountains of Jabal Thawr. It is the place where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companion Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him) hid from the Quraysh, during the migration to Medinah. To protect them from the enemies, Allah had a spider spin a web at the cave's entrance. After looking at the spider web and dove nest, the Quraysh concluded their search and left.

Also known as Cave of Sawr or Ghar Sawr, this cave is of high religious significance for brothers and sister who get the opportunity to perform Hajj or Umrah and visit Saudi Arabia from all over the world. It's one of Makkah, KSA top attractions.

Reaching the cave is a steep climb. But if you make it, you'll be rewarded to a peek at the inside of the cave and breathtaking panoramic views of the valley and the mountain Jabal Thawr.
